Spectator Information

Come out and see performance rally teams in action during the official opening weekend at the Big White Ski Resort! There are lots of ways to spectate at during the rally weekend: stand on the edge of the Happy Valley skating rink and watch daily drivers take on performance rally teams at the snowX, or, for true rally fans, pack a lunch and dress warm to head out onto the forest stage and watch the rally cars slide around tight corners and across a narrow bridge. 

ALL SPECTATORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THE BIG WHITE RALLY EVENT.
These waivers will be available at registration, at the spectator areas and at the entrance to the rally service area. Please sign the waiver and have your hand marked. Printed Big White Rally Weekend Spectator Guides will be available from selected sponsors, check back for details.

Spectating Locations and Schedules

Valley Mitsubishi Snow X

LOCATION: Happy Valley Parking Lot, near Day Lodge.

SAFETY: The spectator viewing area is the raised bank along the back edge of the skating rink; please follow directions from spectator marshals.

SCHEDULE: 0900 – 1700, Saturday and Sunday. Rally cars will run the snowX course as a super special beginning at approximately 1100 and 1410 on Saturday.

Big White Winter Rally Forest Stage

LOCATION: Forest stage, details to be provided closer to event date. Spectators will need good winter tires and a capable vehicle in order to access the spectator area; vehicles not equipped for the conditions will be turned around at the main junction.  Spectators must be in position well before the rally cars pass for safety reasons, so dress warm and come prepared to be comfortable waiting for about 1h before the first pass.  The stage will be run four times, twice in each direction, between 0900 – 1300. Please carpool, as parking at the area is limited.

SAFETY: Follow directions provided by spectator marshals.

SCHEDULE: Spectators must be in position by 0900, which means leaving Happy Valley by 0830.  Rally cars pass at 0945, 1030, 1200 and 1225.  If necessary, spectators will be allowed to exit and enter the spectator area while the stage is setting up to run in reverse direction, between 1100 – 1130.

Big White Winter Rally Service Area

LOCATION: Happy Valley Parking Lot, far end.

SAFETY: Spectators are free to browse through the areas and watch the rally teams during service. Please be aware that the cars will be pulling in and out, often in a hurry, and stay out of the way. Please follow any instructions provided by Service Marshals.

SCHEDULE: 0900 – 1800 Saturday, with active services at approximately 1110 – 1130 and 1415 – 1445.

Big White Rally Weekend Awards Podium and Party

The Big White Winter Rally podium will take place between 1730 and 1800 in front of the Happy Valley Day Lodge. Spectators are welcome to attend the awards party; however, the $25 tickets must be purchased in advance.
